Welcome!

I’m Dina, a British Eritrean girl from London who moved to South Korea in 2014. When I first moved to South Korea, I started out as an English teacher (like most foreigners!) and I worked hard to become a head teacher, curriculum developer & director, and finally a manager of an English academy. Although I enjoyed those positions, it was hard to keep up my blog and stay happy. I knew that I needed a career change, so I decided to quit my job and focus more on becoming a writer, whether that be as a blogger, journalist, copywriter, or content creator.

I started this blog when I was a university student studying journalism in 2011. At first, my blog was mostly made up of reviews for different things like TV shows, movies, and hair products. Since moving to Korea, it was only fitting to start writing about my time in Korea and the different things I do here.
My blog now consists of posts about living, traveling, food, beauty, entertainment, teaching, being unemployed in South Korea, and much more.
