Day 4: Star signs

Star signs. Do you believe that you are actually a certain kind of person or have a certain type of personality because of the day you were born?

Well, I’m going to put it to the test by seeing how I similar I am to what my star sign says I should be.

I am a Taurus, so here are some facts that a friend of mine told me about and what I have found online, too.

Strengths: devoted, stable, patient, reliable, responsible.

Weaknesses: possessive, stubborn.

Taurus likes: music, cooking, working with hands, romance, good food and drink.

Taurus dislikes: complications, sudden changes, being rushed, being hungry, loud and aggressive behaviour.

So far, I am torn. Part of what I have found is true to me. The rest, I can argue with. So let’s look into it in more detail.

As far as strengthens go, I am devoted. I am devoted to my bed, songs that I know, my friends, my no work on the weekend policy. But seriously, I am devoted in many ways.

I asked my trusted friend, Felix the Cat, because I couldn’t decide if I was responsible or not, he told me that he thinks I am responsible. So, I guess I am! But when it comes to certain things like, work or important things. I think I am not responsible when it comes to making personal decisions and when it comes to money.

I agree that I am stubborn. It’s my way or the highway for most things when you are with me. I do not change my mind easily. And I agree I am super possessive. So I guess on the weaknesses side, I am very Taurus. But, I do not think that those two things are negative. What is wrong with knowing what you want and caring about things or people enough to be possessive?

I also like music, cooking, romance and good food and drink. But then again, who doesn’t like those things? (apart from my ex on the romance part. Low blow, I know.)

Now, in terms of Taurus dislikes, 100% accurate. Especially the hungry part. If I am hungry, leave me alone for your own sake.

Now, things that I do not agree on.

Being patient is 100% not true for me. I am not patient. I hate working with my hands, unless you include typing or writing with my hands.

And in terms of being reliable, I cannot answer that without being bias. So, let me know if you guys think I am reliable! But again, I guess it’s something that is true when applied to certain circumstances.

What are your star signs? And do you think you are similar to your star sign? Do you think it’s all nonsense? Do you know more about Taurus? Should I stop asking questions? Okay.

Thanks for reading!

Day 3: 10 likes and dislikes

What is something that drives you up the wall? Or, what I something that brings you happiness?

At first, I thought it was going to be really easy to do 10 likes and 10 dislikes, but I was wrong. I can think of things that I like and dislike, but they all seem to fall into the same categories which I can list as a dislike. So it took me a while to complete the list.

I am not going to go into detail for each point because that would make this blog incredibly long. Instead, I have listed things which are very self-explanatory.

Without further ado, here are my 10 likes and 10 dislikes!

Likes

  1. Organisation
  2. Cold weather
  3. Winter fashion
  4. Tea
  5. Animals
  6. Candles
  7. Making people laugh
  8. Traveling
  9. Getting butterflies when I meet someone that I like.
  10. Freshly washed bedding after I come out of the shower.

Dislikes

  1. Hot weather/ being hot / humidity
  2. Traffic sounds when I am sleeping
  3. Frogs
  4. Violence
  5. Designer clothes/accessories
  6. Touching soggy food when I am washing the dishes
  7. Rude people/ people with no manners
  8. The smell of pork
  9. People who don’t recycle / pollution
  10. Liars / people who speak about me behind my back.

Do you have anything in common with me?

Comment below and let me know what the 10 things you like and dislike are! I’ll be waiting!

Day 2: Do you want to be famous?

“She started off writing a blog about dating in Korea. Now she is changing Journalism as we know it. Let’s have a round of applause for Dina Daily!” – The Independent.

Yes. I want to be famous. And while I can imagine all I want is to become famous for being me, that’s probably not going to happen. But I do have a few ideas about how I will rise to fame.

Now before you guys jump down my throat to tell me that I am not thinking about the downsides, like not having privacy, I have already thought about everything. I will be fine!

The first way I see myself becoming famous is, by being the first black news reporter in Korea. Now, there may have been one already and Sam Okyere is probably going to beat me. But I really want to be known for breaking a barrier in Korea. I want to be known as Dina, the Black British girl who sounds like a Korean.

If that doesn’t work, I want to be famous for my booty. Hahaha I’m kidding!

I want to be famous for changing journalism orcoming up with a new form of journalism. Now, I know this is a big one, and probably the least realistic, but a girl can dream! Studying journalism really opened my eyes as to how slanted the media is. All major news outlets are reporting what they think is news worthy. But nobody really reports on important news unless it is negative. So I want to make a change!

The fun one, would be to be married to a celebrity! Now, don’t pretend like you wouldn’t want that to happen to you too! Who would reject their favourite celebrity crush?! So, Kim Woo Bin, I am waiting for you. 😏

The last thing I want to be famous for is helping people. In specific, the first thing I want to do is, to make Female Genital Mutilation illegal in every country. My mum was mutilated and is still traumatised by it. To defend my Grandma, she didn’t know any better as she was 14 and living in a country at war when she had my mum, so I am not angry at her. But it shouldn’t even be an option in any country. After doing that, I want to keep helping people by putting an end to as many problems as possible.

Now, I know some of you are thinking, ‘You shouldn’t help people for the fame.’ I understand where you are coming from. But, I believe that publicity is needed in order to make a big difference. What way better to get publicity than to be famous? I would use my fame to help people by bringing more attention to the problems and by fund raising events where celebrities and people with a lot of money are invited to donate money. I would make sure that those funds are all donated to the cause. Also, if I were famous, I would donate most of my earnings to whichever problem I would be trying to end.

So, yes! I want to be famous! And it’s not because I want money or because I want to buy a house.

Let me know what you would like to be famous for!

Day 1: 10 facts about me.

If you asked your friends to tell you 10 facts about yourself, what would they say? Would their facts be the same as facts that you think of?

As I have been living alone and have had a lot of time to think, I have been wondering who I really am. If someone asked me to tell them 10 facts about myself, what would I say? Honestly, if I was asked randomly, I wouldn’t know how to answer.

So, to prepare myself for the off chance that someone will ask me one day, here are 10 facts about me.

1. I am Dina.

I know, it’s the most obvious fact about myself (unless you haven’t asked me my name or you are oblivious to my name). But it’s still a fact!

2. I have never broken a bone before.

Lucky, right? I get asked a lot because I am so clumsy. I’m glad I’ve never broken a bone but, I always wish that I had a cool story when I am asked.

3. I learnt 3 mother tounges.

This one needs an explanation. I learnt 3 languages as I was growing up and I am not sure which one I became more fluent in first.

4. I am 27 and have only had 1 serious relationship.

5. I am obsessed with buying house-ware.

When I go shopping, I spend more on candles, pillows, cups and blankets, than on clothes.

6. I want to be an interior designer.

It’s been a dream of mine for a long time. Bought on by my addiction to buying house-ware?

7. I don’t have any allergies (that I know of).

I hope it stays that way!

8. I dance and sing in my room and pretend I am famous.

Embarrassing but I am finally comfortable enough with myself to tell other people! Maybe I should keep it to myself though.

9. I haven’t worn trousers of any sort (apart from leggings) for about 9 years.

Mostly because I find them uncomfortable. I have a big arse and when I find trousers that fit my booty, they are to big on my legs and make me feel and look bigger than I am. So, dresses, skirts and tights have been my look for a long long time.

10. I cry very easily.

Sad songs, TV shows, movies, hearing a beautiful singing voice, cute animals/children, almost anything.

Bonus. I like animals more than children.

I’m really curious about you guys, so please let me know some facts about you! Even just one would be enough to make me feel more of a connection with you. To my friends, tell me a fact about you that you think I don’t know!

By the way, in order to get myself back in blogging mode, I am taking on a 30 day challenge! Let’s hope I can stick with it and please support me by liking my posts and commenting! Thankies
