It’s been ages!

Hello,

I feel like not a lot of people follow this blog, so I feel like I am talking to myself! But if you do come across my blog, HEY!!!

Update on me:

I finished level two of my degree in early May. As I had a lot of spare time on my hand, I thought I would start blogging more. However, I have had the busiest two months. I’ll explain.

So in January, I applied for a job that my friend recommended me for. They called me back in April and asked me to come in for an interview! As you all know I hate my current job, I was ecstatic! So I went in, it went well. One week later I got a phone call telling me that I have got the job!
(But unfortunately, I am still stuck at my old job because the new one is not permanent yet.)
I started work there last week and I love it!! The people are nice, the job is interesting, I’m happy!

I know, a new job doesn’t make life overly busy. So here is the big news!

I am going to Korea to study for a month!! I’m not sure if you know, but I love East, North-East and South-East Asian culture!! So this is an amazing opportunity for me! My university is paying for tuition and accommodation, so all I pay for is flights and spending money!

I am very excited! SO… hopefully when I am out there, I will do vlogs and more blog posts since I will have something specific to talk about!

Anyway, it’s time for me to sleep as I have work tomorrow morning! But I will be updating you guys (if there is anyone there) very soon!

A night with Passion. Pt. 2

Hello! It’s been a while! I’ve been too busy!! =[

However, with the stress of uni deadlines and work, I managed to go to see the awesome and super talented Jeremy Passion.

If you have not read The Empty Suitcase Project and A night with Passion, please read both of them!

As my ‘A night with Passion’ post mentioned, Jeremy Passion was in Europe doing a tour, ‘the little tour that could’. London was lucky enough to have Jeremy perform twice in one month!

The first show was amazing. I enjoyed myself so much and Jeremy was such a gentleman. I really didn’t know how he was going to come back at then end of the month and top himself.

The difference in venues was amazing. Although the La Berrique was an amazing venue for an intimate show, Coronet Cinema was a truly amazing and breathe taking venue. Although it was a larger venue, the show was still very intimate, perfect for Jeremy’s last leg of the little tour that could.

Putting the venue aside, Jeremy definitely topped himself. He managed to perform some of the same songs he did in the first show, but bettered them and made them sound different without changing the song. The band that were assisting Jeremy were amazing. Although it was very hard for everyone to keep their eyes of the too-handsome Jeremy, the band did not just blend in to the background.

The only similarity between the 31st of March and the 29th of April shows was that they were both inspirational and emotional.

Jeremy performed ‘Stephanie’, a song he wrote for a girl he met after a show who suffered from Lupus. Jeremy was touched by her story and wrote a song for her. When he performed ‘Stephanie’, the whole crowd fell silent. It was the most moving performance I have ever seen. I believe that even if that was the first performance you saw of Jeremy, you would fall in love with his music. In my opinion, the song showcases his talent of song writing like no other song.

Jeremy also made me go weak at the knees when he looked at me while singing a line from Lemonade. Jeremy, if you read this, I don’t know if you did it intentionally but you looked at me at both shows, while singing the same line, you made me feel like a crazy fan-girl! It’s not good! =P (You know I enjoyed it though!)

Bluey Robinson also put on an amazing set. It was the first time I heard of Bluey, and he made me want to hear more of him! Esmée Denters also made a brief appearance!

Jeremy also stayed behind after the show once again. I can speak for everybody when I say, we appreciated that!

Altogether, an amazing show.

I mentioned in my previous post, A night with Passion, that I would be interviewing Jeremy. Unfortunately, with his busy schedule, it was not possible for me to interview him. However, although I did want to interview him face to face, since there is something special about that, I know there are other ways of interviewing him. Also, although I was a little upset, I am now more inspired and motivated to get more into the role of a Journalist! I have always dreamed of going to America after I finish uni, and by watching amazing artists such as Jeremy, AJ Rafael, Victor Kim and JR Aquino, to name a few, I am more determined to move to America and become a Journalist! So I can interview the people who inspire me!

So Jeremy, when I come to the states, I will interview you! Whether you like it or not! =P

I forgot to tell you face to face how much you actually inspire me to make a difference, through what I have a passion for (Since I don’t have a good singing voice!).

To sum it all up, Jeremy is a huge inspiration and he definitely put on a great show, twice in London, on The Little Tour That Did.

A night with Passion.

For those of you who have not read The Empty Suitcase Prjoect, please read (and watch the videos) first!

(Ignore my fatness!!)

It has been 2 years since Jeremy ‘Passion’ Manongdo visited London. Luckily he decided to come back this year! Jeremy is now doing a small tour called ‘The tour that could’, where he will visit; London, England; Gothenburg, Sweden; Oslo, Norway; Arnhem, Netherlands; The Hague, Netherlands;  Brussels, Belgium; Bern, Switzerland; Lyon, France; Roissy en Brie, France & back to London, England. The tour started on the 31st of March in London.

I purchased a ticket and went along to the show on Saturday. It was amazing.

I have been listening to Jeremy for about two years now. I’ve always thought he has one of the best voices I’ve heard, but he is something else live! When he was singing, the whole crowd was silent. He has the ability to make everybody stop and just listen.

He gave, what was to me, an emotional show. He performed; 32, Well Done & A Reason for Everything, which are all songs written for/about his family members. It was amazing to hear where his inspiration comes from since he inspires me so much.

He also sang some falsetto! He nailed Climax by Usher! Every girl (some of the guys too) went weak at the knees! (Including me! haha)

After Jeremy performed (with a demanded encore), a meet and greet was set up. Almost everyone in the venue waited behind to see him. I decided to wait until the end because then I feel a little less like a fan-girl and a little bit more like a professional (Yeah right! I just wanted more time with him!). I was shocked and super happy when he recognised me! He remembered my blog about the empty suitcase project and because AJ Rafael tweeted him to say that I am sweet (Eeeek!).

Anyway, I asked him if I can interview him next time he is back and London (the end of April) and he said yes! So, that will be coming to my blog early May! =]

So, now (more than ever), stay tuned!

=[ (=D pt. 3).

If you haven’t already, read my posts =D  & =D pt. 2 before reading this.

So, I purchased two tickets to see Jeremy Passion in London on the 31st of March. Since none of my friends listen to Passion, I didn’t want to go by myself so I thought, I’ll purchase two tickets and then figure out who to go with. That’s when I realised that I could ask the guy that I like!

I had it all planned out! I would ask him on Friday (yesterday).

So I went into uni, and the weather was amazing! Everyone was out on the grass on campus and having some cool drinks. Then, I saw him! He looked so hot! Then he disappeared and showed up with a girl. The girl I always used to see him with. They were holding hands, hugging, kissing and it was so heart breaking. =[

I also found out that someone I know has known him since college. I asked her a few questions about him (I know it sounds stalker-ish!). She mentioned a long term relationship. But like I said in my previous posts, he said that he was single. Now he is back with her.

I don’t know if I am happy that I didn’t ask him out or ‘make a move’, or if I regret not doing anything.

The first thing I thought was, I should have said something. But then I thought about what would have happened if I did say something. I would have still got hurt. If it went well, we would have went out on a date, got to know each other more, I would fall for him even more and then he would have gotten back together with his ex.

But now I am thinking, what did I have to lose? It could have went the other way and I might have been with him now.

Now, I am kicking myself because this isn’t the first time this has happened to me with a guy. I am too shy. And even with all my friends telling me to go and talk to him I didn’t have the guts to. And I really need to grow some balls.

It’s very rare for me to like someone so much. Every time I do like someone that much, I don’t get anything out of it.

I know it’s rich coming from me, since I have no balls but, girls, please, if you like someone, do something about it because if you don’t another girl who is more confident will get him. I wish I had seen that sooner. And the worst thing that could happen is that you will know that he doesn’t feel the same. That is actually a good thing because you know where you stand and you have closure.
