A night with Passion.

For those of you who have not read The Empty Suitcase Prjoect, please read (and watch the videos) first!

(Ignore my fatness!!)

It has been 2 years since Jeremy ‘Passion’ Manongdo visited London. Luckily he decided to come back this year! Jeremy is now doing a small tour called ‘The tour that could’, where he will visit; London, England; Gothenburg, Sweden; Oslo, Norway; Arnhem, Netherlands; The Hague, Netherlands;  Brussels, Belgium; Bern, Switzerland; Lyon, France; Roissy en Brie, France & back to London, England. The tour started on the 31st of March in London.

I purchased a ticket and went along to the show on Saturday. It was amazing.

I have been listening to Jeremy for about two years now. I’ve always thought he has one of the best voices I’ve heard, but he is something else live! When he was singing, the whole crowd was silent. He has the ability to make everybody stop and just listen.

He gave, what was to me, an emotional show. He performed; 32, Well Done & A Reason for Everything, which are all songs written for/about his family members. It was amazing to hear where his inspiration comes from since he inspires me so much.

He also sang some falsetto! He nailed Climax by Usher! Every girl (some of the guys too) went weak at the knees! (Including me! haha)

After Jeremy performed (with a demanded encore), a meet and greet was set up. Almost everyone in the venue waited behind to see him. I decided to wait until the end because then I feel a little less like a fan-girl and a little bit more like a professional (Yeah right! I just wanted more time with him!). I was shocked and super happy when he recognised me! He remembered my blog about the empty suitcase project and because AJ Rafael tweeted him to say that I am sweet (Eeeek!).

Anyway, I asked him if I can interview him next time he is back and London (the end of April) and he said yes! So, that will be coming to my blog early May! =]

So, now (more than ever), stay tuned!

‘ello Jello

This is a little piece I wrote for the magazine I had to produce at university. It was written a while back, before Christmas, so it is a bit out-dated!  I will be posting a more recent article about Far East Movement soon! Enjoy =]

The entertaining, down-town LA boys of Far*East Movement have come back with another club-hitting song. Like a G6 was a massive hit in the clubs last winter and luckily, the boys are back with another song which will definitely be a club anthem this winter! Jello hit the iTunes hot 100 chart at number Seven in its first week.

The Far*East Movement lads have definitely given thought into when to release a new track since their fans must be dying for some new material after their first mainstream album Free Wired. It’s a great idea to keep fans keen for more by release a track of their next album which hasn’t even been given a release date yet.

But are we just waiting for another album with the same sounds of Free Wired? Far*East Movement have definitely got a fresh sound that stands out from other hip-hop based groups.  Far*East Movement are signed to the Alternative-Pop record label Cherry Tree London, which other artists such as LMFAO & FrankMusik are signed to. Kev-Nish and the rest of the group have pressure to sound new and different. But it seems that the Los Angeles based group have nothing to worry about because it looks as though they are making music effortlessly.

Kev-Nish speaks about how the album will have,

‘a few songs that show the hip-hop roots and the ‘Rocketeer’ style, and heavy synth dance tracks as well, but the majority of the album is going to be the L.A. dirty bass sound’.

Sound a bit like the first album? Regardless, it won’t be a disappointment if the second album (rumoured to be called Dirty Bass) sounds like their previous album Free Wired. Kev also comments on how him & the boys are trying to take the album to a different level;

‘To accentuate the bass, we bought an old school refurbished 1989 Cadillac limo. I used to install car stereos, so I’m going to hook up the system myself and we’re going to take all of our songs in this car and drive around in L.A. and vibe out’.

With the success of their first album, I’m sure Far*East Movement won’t find it hard to get the right sound for their album to succeed. They just have to stay true to themselves & the next album will be a masterpiece.

AJ Rafael – Red Roses

AJ Rafael – Red Roses

Amazing? Yes! I’ve always loved AJ Rafael, but this album makes me love him like a fish loves water! AJs’ first full length album, Red Roses was produced by the talented (and sexy ;P) Jesse Barrera. And I give massive thanks to him for producing such an amazing album! AJ and Jesse have definitely created a master piece. You would think this is an album from an artist who is signed to a record label because it is so professional. The lyrics; the music; everything about this album is amazing!

If you’re already familiar with AJ, you would know that he has put songs on this album that we already know. But songs like, She Was Mine featuring Jesse Barrera, have been re-recorded and sound better than ever! Mess We’ve Made featuring the extremely talented Tori Kelly, is definitely a song to look out for!

Overall, this album is awesome. AJ has an amazing voice. And the fact that Jesse Barrera produced it is reason enough to purchase Red Roses! Definitely an amazing album and I recommend it to all of you!

Victor King

Victor Kim – Victor King EP

Victor Kim has finally released a long awaited album. Although it is only an EP, I am very satisfied!

Victor Kim has a laid back style to his singing and never fails to please me. He is an amazingly talented person, not only does he sing, he also plays guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, drums, he is an amazing artist and he dances! And on top of all of that, he is good looking!

The Victor King EP has only 5 songs, but these 5 songs are all so good! The EP features the comedy freestyle song, Spam, featuring YouTube comedians, Ryan Higa (NigaHiga) and Kevin Wu (KevJumba). But, Spam is not the best song on the EP. Through Thick and Thin and the amazing heart-filled song, Free Your Mind featuring Dumbfounded, definitely stand out.

This EP is definitely worth buying.
