Review: Captain Phillips

image

I always expect Tom Hanks films to be amazing, but I am shocked that he keeps on improving with every film he does.

Today I met with a few friends to go to the cinema in the hopes of watching a scary film since it’s Halloween tomorrow. Of course knowing our luck there were no horror films showing. Once I found out Tom Hanks was in Captain Phillips I knew we had to watch it.

The film as a whole was amazing. It is based on true events and that instamtly attracts my attention from the start of the film.

The film started of relativly calm but then when the action started, I was sat on the edge of my seat foe the entire film.

What I didn’t expect was the ending. Of course they will show us if the person got rescued or not but I expected it to be a happy ending. It was, but Tom Hanks of course imbrassed his character 100% and gave an emotional ending.

For an interesting view on events which actually happened and which still occur in the seas next to Somalia, watch this film. Amazing acting & excellent directing.

Top 10 Movies.

Now this is a very rough idea of my top 10 filma because I can never think of all the films I love when people ask me & apparently when I ask myself!

So this is my list. I didn’t include Twilight Saga because that is almost half my list! & it was way to hard for me to put them in order!

10 – The Shining

9 – Reqium for a Dream

8 – Anastasia

7 – Hatchi (Although I can never watch it again because I got sooo depressed)

6 – Beauty & The Beast

5 – Cast Away (Tom Hanks is a legend)

4 – Pearl Harbour (Another film that depressed me!)

3 – Disturbia

2 – Parent Trap

1 – Forrest Gump

Let me know what your all time favourite film is!
