On Tuesday I finally had a day off work, but my sister woke me up at 8am and asked for my help to finish off some work. She needed the work for that evening as it was her exibition for her degree (Product Design). So I went along with her to her university even though I was super tired.
I was pissed off at the fact I had to go and do something for her on the only day I had off, luckily she told me she didn’t need help any more at about 12pm. So I started to go home.
As my sister went to a university in the middle of a huge park!! I had to jump on the mini bus that goes from the university to the train station. As the bus was driving through the park, I noticed a tree that had been cut down.
Everyone knows that, when a tree has been cut down it doesn’t grow any leaves or nothing, it is dead once it has been detached from it’s root. But this tree that was disconnected from its roots completely was laying on the ground, with fresh leaves on it! And you could tell that it wasn’t cut down recently because the stump was covered in moss and fungous.
I felt something strange when I saw this tree. It was like it showed me that the world is still beautiful even though us humans are damaging it with or without realising. It was asif the tree was told it couldn’t live anymore but it fought against what it was told and carried on growing.Okay so maybe it was still connected to its roots but it didn’t look like it was and that’s what made me think it was so amazing!
Anyway I was happy for the rest of the day after seeing the tree. I had a positive out look on the rest of the day. =]
Just thought I would share it with you guys as it touched me for some strange reason!!
Unfortunatly I couldn’t take a picture of the tree as I was on a moving bus and was too amazed by what I saw to stop and think of taking a picture!
Don’t give up hope as there is always a way of getting around things and doing what you want to do.
