Review: La riche – Directions Hair Colour – Plum

I decided to change my hair colour again!

I have used so many purple hair dyes, from so many different brands. Not one of them is half as good as La riche’s Directions Hair Colour.

I mentioned in my ‘Hair Colour’ post, that I have had almost every colour hair. Every colour except from Black, have been possible because La riche’s Directions Hair Colour.

First I’ll give a little information on Directions hair colour:

Directions is a semi-permanent conditioning hair colour that was established in 1981. Directions hair colour comes in 34 different shades which are all of intense colour. It does not require any mixing. You just apply it from the tub. =]

But I am going to review the colour Plum in this post. (If you want me to review another colour just let me know! I’m sure I’ve tried almost all of them!)

Plum is an amazing hair colour. It adds a splash of colour without being too in your face bright. I’ve had this colour before but decided to go back to it because it is such an awesome colour. Usually when using Directions hair colours, I have to lighten my hair a bit because my natural hair colour is too dark for anything to show up. But this time I decided to do it over dark brown hair (My hair was red, then I went over it with black, then it faded to a dark reddish/brown colour). It came out perfect. To me it looks black because the lighting in my house is really bad since there is no sun in London, but when I see my friends, they tell me how intense and amazing the colour is!

Directions is very conditioning and you can even mix it with your regular conditioner for extra conditioning (and a top up of colour without using too much product).

Le riche’s Directions colour does fade, but there is plenty in the tub for me to do my whole head 2/3 times. (My hair is shoulder length and very very thick) And even if it only lasts you the one application, I buy my tubs for £2.99, which is cheaper than any other hair dye I have used, to I’d just buy another one. It is also good that the colour fades because instead of having to lighten my hair with a bleach, I can just wait for the colour to fade and apply a new colour!

If you like bold, intense colour, I recommend buying any Directions hair colour. It has never failed me.

Such a cute outfit!

I love this outfit. It’s a perfect match to my personality. Girly-Punk. The floral dress adds brightness to the outfit and is a great introduction to Spring!

The boots are amazing! I love that the studs are only on the platform and heel part of the shoe and not all over. It just adds that tiny bit of detail on what would be a very plain wedged ankle boot.

The leather jacket is great with the dress as it isn’t warm enough to wear the dress alone. Instead of a cardigan, the leather jacket is more edgy! And since it is a plain jacket, you can easily customise it with studs (to match the shoes), a cute flower to add colour or your favourite brooch.

The pink bracelet brings in colour to match the dress and the other bracelet and the necklace are just cute!

Let me know what you guys think about this outfit! And if you think I should put more outfits together, let me know by liking this post!

Adoption

On the news & on the Guardian website, I saw an article that adoption rules will change slightly in order to make it easier for adults to adopt children of a different race.

Finally.

I always thought it was outragous that you could only adopt a child of the same race as yourself.
I want to adopt when I’m older because I believe the world is already over populated, so why should I bring a new child into this world when there are children already, that need homes?

Race is not important. When a child is 5 years old, the won’t care if you are a different colour to them.
If the reason it is hard is because the child will know that they are adopted, wouldn’t it make them stronger? Wouldn’t they love you more because you decided to  take them in & that is the most selfless thing anybody can do? Then maybe they will adopt when they are older and give another child opportunites that orphans don’t get?

A black child is 3 times less likely to get adopted than a white child. And that isn’t because people don’t want black children, it is because there are more white families that consider and fulfill adoption than black families & they can’t adopt a child from another race.

So apparently it is better for Black children not to get adopted instead of being adopted by parents of a different race because they will feel ‘out placed’. No family? Ask questions? I know what I’d prefer.

I really hope this change happens soon because it is something that should have always been possible.

Hair colour

I coloured my hair today. It was meant to be purple, but it came out brown.

No matter how many times I colour my hair, I pick up new brands or I try old ones that failed me before. I am wasting my money!!!

Directionz are the best hair colour I have ever tried. Pink, purple, green and red. They have all turned out amazing & with minimal damage to my hair.

As for blonde, SmartBlonde is amazing. My natural hair is jet black & it works in one go. I do get an orange tint but I go over it again & I have light blonde hair!
