To a great friend.

My friend has his graduation ceremony today & this morning when I woke up I realised how much I appreciate him & thought I’d let him know.

Although we have only known each other for a few months, I feel like you understand me more than most people I have known longer. I don’t have to make an effort when I’m around you because we just naturally have fun because you like me for who I am.

We have so much in common & we have only met each other this summer! And even when we have different thoughts & opinions, we accept it & move on without arguing.

We bonded in Seoul & although most people that we met in Seoul spent 24hrs with each other when they were there, they don’t see each other now. But thats not the case with us! I feel like we have become closer in London. If I don’t see you once a week it feels strange!

When I introduced you to a friend of mine & I told them that you are like a brother to me, I really meant it.

Tadiwa, I am truley proud of you for graduating & I want to say thank you for being so awesome! Although I wish I had met you sooner, I am glad we met in Korea because we now have the same hopes for our future! Can’t wait until we are back in Korea!! =D

Interesting!

Yesterday I wemt to a Korean language meet up event in London. It was my second time attending. The first time I met some cool people. This time I met an amazing guy!!

Now, at first I was like ‘yeah this guys cool’ but when we started speaking and he told me about his life, I was amazed!
I should probably ask permission to write his story as a blog post but I’m going to do it anyway!

I will call him, Jae because I don’t want to use his real name.

Jae’s grandparents escaped from North Korea when they were young. They found empty land in Incheon, South Korea, and decided to make it thier own. They built a farm and had children, Jae’s mum or dad.

Jae’s mum & dad stayed on the farm and had Jae! He lived on the farm until he was a young teenager and his first memory was seeing a headless chicken moving that his mum had just killed.

His family relocated to LA. He lived in LA for 17 years! He then came to London and has been living here for 3 years with a sucessful business and a beautiful apartment!

This guy had an interesting story. But not only that, he was so fun to talk to! We spent the whole night together, just talking about the most random things! I haven’t clicked with someone that fast and so easily in a long time. It was refreshing!

He has lived in my top 3 favourite places to live. LA: doesn’t everyone?! Korea: where do I begin?! London: Just home. My home.

I hope we stay friends for a long time! Hopefully I’ll find more interesting stories about his life & I’ll blog about them!

Not so Seoul-ful

This evening I met up with a few people who go to my uni that also went to Korea this summer. It was so strange! I missed them so much! It was great catching up with everyone and a girl who lives in Holland is in London at the moment so it was amazing seeing her!

We felt as if we were back in Seoul! But a bottle of Soju cost £5 instead of the 80p that we spent for Soju in Korea! O_O shocking right?!?! It was worth it though!

I had the best summer & I am glad I made some great friends! It’s funny that I made friends with people from my uni who I had never seen before!

Tomorrow a one of the guys from Korea is coming to London! So tomorrow will be another night out!! =P maybe I will do another blog post!

Dreams

Since I got back from Korea, I have been having super weird dreams. It’s not like strange things happen in the dream but when I think about it, the reason why it is strange is because nothing weird happens.

Anyway, I’ll explain.

I obviously don’t realise that I am dreaming until I wake up, but the dreams I’ve been having are so realistic! The people in my dreams are the people I met in Korea, and the situations are so similar/realistic that I don’t realise that it was a dream when I wake up.

One example is that, in my dream, I am in my bed and I am wearing the PJ’s that I am actually wearing. I’m in my room, it is my bed, but my Korean friends and friends that I made in Korea are there. The conversations and activities that are happening are things that would happen. But for some reason, I cannot leave my bed. I am moving in my bed so I am not paralysed, but I think it’s my insecurity because I am in my PJs!

I then wake up and start looking around for the people who were in my dream because it was so realistic! It is the strangest thing!

haha I can tell by the look on your face that you either want to hear more or, you are thinking, why did you have to write a blog post about this?! lol

I just wanted to write about my dream in the hopes that it would make more sense to me. And it did haha!
